Alabama Adventure

William took Nana, Pappy and me to the water/amusement park yesterday in Birmingham. He got to ride several things for the first time ever - the Merry Go Round: (This is Dad helping William off the horse, he didn't stand there while it was going).
A River Rapids Rafting Ride:
A WAY Too Scary, Super Fast Spinning Ride:
And a Roller Coaster:

He also enjoyed the water rides: (click triangle to play video)

I really recommend the water park section of the water/amusement combo. The water slides were a lot of fun and William loved the lazy river and playground (last picture and second video).  There is also a separate section for babies that was very elaborate and looked like fun.

Bring on Disney...

Team Hamnesia

Jud's BBQ team had their sponsor appreciation cookout last night. William got to practice looking cool on a skateboard (it was too scary to stand on on the concrete) and Jud got to practice drinking beer, er, I mean cooking Boston butts.

Summertime

Jud played hookey from work today and spent the day relaxing with us. We played 9 holes followed by over an hour of swimming in the hopes that William would tire out enough to take a nap. Ha!

Golf

Well, I finally got some really great videos of William golfing and they are all sideways. I guess I thought you could rotate video. Nope.

I did get one of him putting that isn't sideways...

The Lake

William and Patricia

Jackson, Jud, and William

...before and after...
William spent the last trip to the lake watching everyone else have fun on the tube, so this time he got the courage to try it himself. He had a blast and constantly asked when we were going to get launched off like he sees when adults ride without kids. He was a little disappointed he never had a good wipeout.

Fourth of July

We spent the day in Columbus at my Grandmother's house with my aunts and uncles and cousins.William cried as we got into the car because he was going to miss Kenzie (age 6) and Katie (age 8) so much. He will miss Bryce (4) too, but not nearly as much as the girls, he says. Jud looks a little like a hitman in the group family shot. If I can ever get some better photo-editing software like I had on my old computer, I will post more pictures. Happy Birthday, America!
