Tiger Miller

William and I joined Jud for 9 holes yesterday afternoon (I drove the cart - I don't golf). William hit some beautiful shots, for none of which I was ready with the movie camera. Next time. For now here are some stills...

Hiking Trip to Chewacla

We went hiking this morning in Chewacla State Park. It is only about 5 miles from our house, but I hadn't been brave enough to take William before now. He did really well hiking and rock climbing and only asked one time to be carried (which I did not do). We also tried to go to the lake to swim, but it has changed a LOT in the past 10 years. There isn't a beach anymore. I think the lake is more for fishing now than swimming. The waterfall and hiking are still worth the trip. We will definitely be going back again.

Shark!

It took a couple days to warm back up to the idea of swimming, but the shark has returned this year. William has picked back up where he left off last summer - jumping off the side, diving down to the bottom of the pool and swimming to the steps. He is also letting me lay on a deck chair this year instead of playing with him in the pool. Yeah!

At the Lake

The Millers went to the lake today to watch Grandma's piano recital. It was really great! We also got to ride on the boat and practice fishing. Patricia was the only one to bring in a fish (little brim). Jud hooked a catfish, but the line broke. William and Jackson practiced casting in the yard and then got to move their skills to the dock. Next time we might try hooks on their lines...maybe.

Graduation

William graduated from 3 Year Old Preschool tonight. Grandma and Grandaddy (Jud's parents) and Nana and Pappy (Patricia's parents) came to watch the program. It was very cute.  We tried to get a family picture, but the graduate wasn't cooperating, so this is what we got. The sun is in our eyes so we look pretty goofy, but we haven't taken a family picture in so long I guess we will have to settle for this one. The last picture is William class. The entire class sang a really great song about a caterpillar, but it is hard to understand with them all singing, so click on the picture of William on the deck to hear him sing the song (below). Thank you Miss Alesha, Ms Susan and Ms Emmy for a wonderful year! We are looking forward to next year!

Class Party

William's class had their party to celebrate the end of their school year at Frog Legs. William even went down the big slides that he is usually scared of. Positive peer pressure!
